Mathematics Education Major  

This major is designed for students wishing to become secondary Mathematics teachers. Students will also select a minor area of study from across a broad range of other study areas including Health and Physical Education, Health Education, Outdoor Education, Visual Arts, Music, Drama, English, Social Sciences, Home Economics, Design and Technology, Computing, and Biological or Physical Sciences.  The course is designed to equip students with the skills and knowledge to teach Years 7-12 Mathematics as well as another learning area in a minor field of study. Graduates will be eligible to seek employment in both government and non-government secondary schools.


Special Admission Requirements

A satisfactory performance in WACE Mathematics 3C/3D or Mathematics: Specialist 3A/3B, or equivalent is required.
