SCHOOL OF NURSING AND MIDWIFERY

Description:

This unit will introduce students to common pathophysiological processes and related pharmacological treatments for conditions commonly experienced by the adult and older adult with particular relevance to the Australian National Health Priorities.  Specific foci include musculoskeletal disorders, altered immune function, respiratory disorders and renal disorders. Additionally the unit will consider factors relating to the quality use of medicines, including client compliance, drug development, information poisoning and misuse.
