During this clinical practicum students have the opportunity to receive supervised contact with patients and clinical teaching within the internal medicine setting and to enhance their clinical skills. Students will be responsible for seeking relevant knowledge and skills and developing the attitudes required to effectively provide medical services in the general medical setting. Prior to entry into a clinical practicum students are required to complete risk management protocols as outlined in the course information and satisfactorily complete the pre-clinical skills workshop held at the beginning of the second year.
