NUT1112 Nutrition and Public Health

Description:

Students are provided with an overview of public health nutrition in Australia and are introduced to the scope of nutrition-related morbidity and mortality, the links between diet and health status, and methods used to promote healthy eating. Target groups for public health nutrition interventions within the Australian population are identified and sources of data from which nutrition status can be obtained are also investigated.
