G44 Bachelor of Arts (Music Theatre)

INTRODUCTION

This course produces graduates who are fully equipped to enter the theatre profession as performers in both musical and non musical areas, as well as film and television. It provides technical training in singing, music skills, specific dance forms, improvisation and acting, including acting for the camera.


It also provides the opportunity for student performers to acquire specialist skills such as the creation and production of self-devised material, arts management, and musical skills such as accompanying. By studying at WAAPA, students gain practical performance experience in a range of the performing arts, preparing them to work professionally in a wide range of theatre activity.

 
ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS

Admission is based on comprehensive audition and interview.  Information relating to audition and interview requirements and procedures is available from WAAPA.
