IAS3106 Indigenous Histories in Film

Description:

This unit provides students (Indigenous, non-Indigenous, international) with an opportunity to learn about the Indigenous Australian struggle against colonial hegemony by critically analysing forms of Indigenous representation in Australian films. Students will explore discourses of authenticity, assimilation, self-determination and reconciliation.
