This unit introduces students to the theory underpinning community health care provision. Its main focus is on preventative health services. Students will develop an understanding of the principles of epidemiology, primary health care, and community and population health at local and global levels. The health care of individuals, families and groups will be discussed in relation to health promotion/education, health maintenance and disease prevention. Theoretical models of health program planning and community health care analysis are examined and applied to practical models. Full Unit Outline | |||
