This unit focuses on physical activity for children and adults with disabilities. It is designed to ensure an understanding of the special needs associated with the development of motor control and the adaptations necessary to ensure access to a physically active lifestyle. Students will be introduced to the motor control and learning problems faced by people with a range of physical, mental and emotional disabilities. Students also gain knowledge and understanding of social-psychological issues associated with disability and movement through the contexts of play, games, and sport. Full Unit Outline | |||
