SST2130 Surfing Performance

Description:

Development of the expertise required for proficient surfing is the underpinning element of this unit. Surfing Performance considers surf venue analysis, surfing psychology, surfboard functionality, kinaesthetics, human physiology and the biomechanics of major surfing manoeuvres. Surf training programmes are also considered. An intensive “surfing camp” conducted by Surfing WA coaches is an integral component of the unit. The unit provides the opportunity for self improvement in surfing technique.
