This unit is an historical study of colonialism in Australian and its impact on Aboriginal/non-Aboriginal relations. The unit will focus on Aboriginal responses to the colonial process; European-Australian responses to Aborigines; state government policies and legislation which impacted on Aborigines and how these varying interactions have been interpreted by historians.
