LIT1000 Principles and Practices of Academic Literacy

Description:

This unit introduces students to a range of academic skills and practices necessary for successful participation in the Bachelor of Education (Early Childhood Studies) course. It focuses on reading, research and writing for learning as well as the developing effective practices in  listening, note taking and oral presentation. It also provides students with the fundamentals of good written language such as grammatical accuracy, paragraphing, spelling, punctuation and vocabulary. Report and essay planning and editing skills will  be developed through this unit.
