TEE3010 Technology and Enterprise Education for Young Children
SCHOOL OF EDUCATION
Credit Points: 15

Description:

This unit provides an introduction to the Technology and Enterprise learning area.  It develops pre-service teachers’ confidence and competence in the use of a range of resources to solve problems, and resolve issues in an enterprising manner.  Rich tasks using technology processes will be used to explore ways in which young children’s (0-8 years) creativity, problem solving, curiosity and enterprising behaviours can be extended.  Pre-service teachers’ understanding of pedagogical approaches for the classroom is reflected through current research.  The content and methodology are examined in relation to learning and development to meet the needs of a diverse range of children in an early childhood setting.
