The health promotion major comprises 120 credit points (eight units) and is designed to provide students with an understanding of the history and evolution of health promotion as a profession, as well as how to plan, implement, and evaluate a variety of health promotion projects. This major prepares students to be able to pursue careers in a variety of government and non-government health promotion agencies and other organisations that aim to prevent lifestyle-related morbidity and mortality.
Bachelor of Health Science students substitute two units for HST1121 and HST1122. The substitute units may consist of HST2222 or HST2100 or HST3213 (or another HST unit approved by the Bachelor of Health Science course coordinator). | |||||||||||||||||||||||||||
