CRI2106 Victimology

Description:

This unit introduces students to the concept of victims and the study of victimology in research, policy and practice. Students also develop an understanding of the power and politics of victimisation. The impact of the criminal justice system on victims is also considered.  This includes the impact of the conflicting interests of victims’ and offenders’ rights. This unit also examines the concept of prevention and restoration.
