NSP1205 Physical Assessment for the Health Sciences
SCHOOL OF NURSING AND MIDWIFERY
Credit Points: 15
Prerequisites:
NSP1103 Communication in Nursing
OR
NSP1104 Communication in Health Care
OR
RPS1100 Communication for the Professions
Students must have successfully completed or be concurrently enrolled in NNT1204.
These pre-requisites do not apply to students enrolled in courses G51 and K89.
 
Description:

In this unit students will, by observation and practical involvement, apply the principles of physical assessment skills to nursing care situations. Research findings and a problem solving process will be used to enable students to apply the principles to healthcare contexts. The following units must be undertaken concurrently (K45 BSc(Nursing) students only): NNT1204 - Theories & Principles relating to Nursing Care and SCN1106 - Biological Science in Nursing 2 (SCN1106 may be completed prior to enrolment in NSP1204).
