TSM2202 Introduction to Event Management

Description:
This unit provides an introduction to the management of a diverse and dynamic range of events. Event management topics including planning, marketing, sponsorship, human resource management, financial management, risk management, event staging and logistics, and evaluation will be examined. The phenomenon of events in society, such as the cultural, economic, political and environmental impacts and meanings of a range of events, alongside motives and benefits for event consumers will also be considered. Applied knowledge in administering events will be gained through practical examples of event preparation through to delivery of an event.
