NNI1102 Health and Health Challenges for Older Adults
SCHOOL OF NURSING AND MIDWIFERY

Description:
This unit will enable students to develop their knowledge of normal ageing, the contribution of the elderly to society, and the health challenges commonly experienced during old age. Nursing interventions and approaches aimed at maintaining the best possible level of wellness and quality of life for the older person will be examined. Care structures and care management issues will be addressed and relevant legal and ethical issues identified. End of life care for the older person will also be included.
