G95 Bachelor of Business

INTRODUCTION

The Bachelor of Business degree has been designed to enable students to succeed in their chosen business profession. A feature of the course is the Business Edge units: a set of integrated general and professional skills units designed to link academic and professional pathways for educational development. The Faculty offers a supportive environment with expert staff who are committed to quality teaching and research.

After the first semester of full-time study, students choose the Major or Double Major program they wish to follow. Currently, the following Majors are available:

1.   Accounting:  This Major has been designed for students seeking careers as professional accountants or in any financial area of business. The course combines sound accounting principles with practical business applications.

2.   Public Practice:  This Major is designed for students intending a career in professional accounting or business advice. It extends the students' expertise in business law, taxation, and business planning. This can only be taken as a second Major.

3.   Management:  This Major has been designed to prepare students for a future in management and focuses on understanding people at work and how organisations operate.
