K62 Bachelor of Business (Management) Honours

INTRODUCTION

The Bachelor of Business (Management) Honours program is designed to provide advanced research based studies in management for students who have distinguished themselves in their undergraduate studies in the field. It aims to enhance understanding of the discipline area and to develop knowledge, skills and abilities relating to research methods and research activity in management.  Students will be engaged in a significant research investigation resulting in the production of a thesis.   

 
ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS

To be eligible for the Honours program a student must normally have achieved a Weighted Average Mark of 70% in the degree program.

 
COURSE LOCATION
This course is available on Joondalup Campus.

Some units may be required to be undertaken at Mt Lawley Campus.
 
MODE OF STUDY
This course is available by Full-time, or Part-time mode.
 
MODE OF DELIVERY
This course is available in the following mode of delivery - On-campus.

Some units may be available in the off-campus mode of delivery.
 
COURSE STRUCTURE

The Honours program is a one year full-time course, or two years part-time for a total of 120 credit points comprising of the following units:

 
Semester 1 (full-time)
BSA4701 Business Research Methods * 15
MAN4172 Honours Thesis Development 30 
Discipline Unit 1
 
*Or an alternative research method unit prescribed by the school.
 
Semester 2 (full-time)
MAN4173 Honours Thesis 30 
Discipline Unit 2
Discipline Unit 3
 
Discipline units are chosen from:
MAN4702 Contemporary Employment Issues 15
MAN4705 Leadership and Change Management 15
MAN4706 Managing Quality 15
MAN4703 Managing Employee Performance 15
 
 
Discipline unit selection should be conducted in consultation with the Course Co-ordinator having consideration for the faculty timetable, for undergraduate units already completed and the intended focus of the research component of the course. Units other than those indicated above may be undertaken with the approval of the Course Co-ordinator.
