MAAAAA  Contemporary Fashion Major  

This unit set is available in the following courses:

This major uses the material garment as a vehicle for exploration in relation to the body, contemporary fashion, textiles, found garment and contemporary art. Students will investigate a range of non-industrial construction techniques, creative material methodologies and contextual research approaches. The major also engages students in a range of contextual and historical investigations to do with the garment. This major prepares students for a range of creative design outcomes concerned with wearable items; such as textile processes, pattern making and garment construction, contemporary fashion presentation, reconstructed garment design and creative wearable art practice.
