RAD5107 Radionuclide Production

RAD5101 Principles of Radionuclide Physics
 
Description:

This unit further develops students’ understanding of the methods of radionuclide production. The physics of the operation of both nuclear reactors and cyclotrons will be covered, with emphasis placed on the different isotopes that can be produced in each. The method of production of radioisotopes commonly used in nuclear medicine will be studied.
