Description:

This unit introduces the principles of fluid mechanics and thermodynamics with particular emphasis on heat engines. A major mechanical engineering project is undertaken which utilises the knowledge and skills acquired in this unit and the preceding units for the design and development of components and sub-systems for a mechanical system.
