EAP0108 Supporting Student Learning in Arts 2
SCHOOL OF EDUCATION
Credit Points: 5

Description:

This unit commences with a brief overview of the Curriculum Framework in the area of Visual Arts and a more detailed look at child developmental stages. This provides Education Assistants with a setting for the Visual Arts program as well as strategies that Education Assistants can use to support and facilitate Art learning. A hands on, practical component will include basic classroom techniques such as crayon resist, printmaking, drawing and kite making with the view of how best to assist student learning. Looking at principles of classroom displays will be followed by applying these and creating a display of work done. Throughout, a sharing of hints and ideas adds a further practical component.
