Description:

This unit aims to provide education students knowledge in programming and using control and response systems such as CAD/CAM, PC interfacing and control, on screen simulations and an awareness of issues related to electronic and mechanical control and response systems in order for them to be able to teach it inline with secondary curriculum. An introduction to teachers of Computer Aided Manufacture (CAM), using both 2 and 3 axis machines and appropriate software to program, simulate and produce products, the end products being able to be marketable as a part of the mass production techniques in industry or as a one off specific, prototype item.
