Description:

Peer mentoring is an effective approach to teacher professional development.  This unit will engage the students in a peer mentoring process that is aimed at facilitating critical reflection on their performance as a behaviour manager.  Students will work with a mentor in a school where they will teach a class with feedback focused on the student's performance as a behaviour manager that incorporates a range of instructional approaches.  Students will be skilled in a peer mentoring process. Students will develop a reflective journal outlining their professional development.
