ECE4101 Early Childhood Educators as Researchers

Description:

This unit empowers early childhood students to use research as a way of understanding and reconstructing their teaching practices. Students critically analyse and reflect on contemporary Australian and international research in order to understand and appreciate the processes used in research.  Different research paradigms and methods of data collection are addressed in order to inform students about the opportunities and challenges of research. Students apply knowledge and skills to plan small scale research projects that relate directly to early childhood educational context.
