WPL2102 Workplace Learning 1

Description:

This unit requires students to complete a one hour lecture per week and a minimum of 12 days of workplace learning in a child care setting.  Exploring young children’s development and learning and the implementation of quality practices will be the focus of this unit.  In addition the Quality Improvement and Assessment System (QIAS) processes are examined.  The rich task associated with the workplace learning experience focuses on establishing positive learning environment and the routines and procedures considered essential for young children’s health and safety, and their cognitive and social/emotional well being.
