CUE1102 Music and Young Children

Description:

This introductory unit examines the role of music in the development of children 0-8 years.  Developmentally appropriate musical experiences, which incorporate the diverse needs of young children in various educational settings, are studied.  Methods of fostering creativity in the musical world of the young child and the application of ICT are included.  Through practical workshops and workplace experiences, opportunities are provided for students to develop musical knowledge and skills.
