ACS3127 Aboriginal Perspectives on Religion and Spirituality

Description:
This unit is designed to engage Indigenous people in the debate about the nature of religion and spirituality. Attention will be focussed on the nature of traditional belief and ritual systems; the impact of Christian missions and the development of Indigenous forms of Christian faith; the influence of the context of ideas from the Enlightenment and scientific humanism, and the spread of new forms of spirituality and "new age" religions, as well as the modern cult of the autonomous individual.
