This unit overviews the Society and Environment (S&E) Learning Area and includes processes and strategies for learning, planning and assessing the concepts, skills, values and actions in S&E. Inquiry, futures problem solving, anticipatory action learning, decision making, learning centres, simulation games, computer-based learning and learning outside the classroom will be utilised. The variety of S&E literacies: social literacy, ecological literacy, cultural literacy, cartographic literacy, critical literacy and political literacy are introduced. A wide variety of S&E resources are considered.
