Description: | |||
This unit extends students thinking beyond number sense and numeracy but focuses heavily on developing Number concepts that underpin the other conceptual threads and Working Mathematically. It concentrates on identifying students with special needs in order to progress their mathematics education. Students will focus on thinking and working mathematically, the role and use of language, gender, technology and social issues impacting on learning mathematics. Various tools will be used to plan activities with school students.
