Description:
WAAPA is uniquely placed to provide composers with a wide range of experiences in composing for the stage and electronic media. This unit provides students with practical experience in writing music that is not intended for the concert stage, for example music for dance, theatre and music theatre as well as film, video and multimedia. In addition to self-devised projects, students are introduced and made available to write for the large number of diverse productions and activities undertaken throughout the Academy. Specific projects are subject to availability.
