This is the first of two units for Diploma of Education students enrolled in a minor in secondary science teaching. There is an emphasis in this unit on science curriculum materials for the lower secondary school, as well as extending students' basic teaching skills into the specialist needs of the science teacher. Some of the other aspects examined in the unit include laboratory safety, use of scientific equipment and the role of scientific inquiry in science teaching. Full Unit Outline | |||
