PPA2270 Second Professional Practice
SCHOOL OF EDUCATION
Credit Points: 5

Description:
This practicum is the Orientation Practicum which provides student-teachers with the opportunity to start to understand schools and schooling from a teacher’s perspective - and to start to learn the complex role of a teacher. The Orientation Practicum is also the time when student-teachers learn the transitional role of the student-teacher. This is a role with its own challenges and demands. It is vitally important that student-teachers construct their own understanding of this role in a way which enables them to work in collaboration with supervising teachers, and in a way which makes them an asset to the teachers with whom they are to work and learn.
