PHR4103 Myth, Ritual and Magic

Description:
This unit explores myth, ritual and magic from historical and anthropological perspectives. Emphasis will be placed on isolating and describing these cultural phenomena, as well as on discussing their meaning and significance in ancient and modern religious communities. Examples will be drawn from areas including ancient Egypt, mystery religions and western esoteric traditions.
