MTQ3523 Music for Film
WESTERN AUSTRALIAN ACADEMY OF PERFORMING ARTS
Credit Points: 10
 
Description:

Students will first undertake a historical, analytical, and aesthetical study of film music which will prepare them for the theoretical aspect of scoring for film. This unit requires the student to collaborate with a film maker in order to generate a score for a film. Along with composing or sourcing the film score, students will undertake synchronisation of the music to picture. The genre of the score is open and students will be encouraged to be innovative and experimental in their score.
