| This unit will focus on the teaching and learning of mathematical, scientific and technological concepts, skills and language and on the historical, theoretical and social aspects of current practice. The significance of play in a young child's development in this context will be addressed. The role of the teacher in various early childhood environments will be considered and discussed.
