MAE4107 Studies in 4 - 8 Mathematics Education

Description:
This unit is designed to increase students' awareness of a range of teaching and learning strategies appropriate to students in the middle years of schooling. Topics include use of manipulative materials, the role of language in mathematics, use of technology and the Internet, and transition to algebra. Emphasis will be placed on student investigation of aspects of the topics of interest to themselves.
