LAN4281 Implementation and Practice in English Language Teaching

Description:
This unit deals with strategies for teaching and developing all levels of the four language macro skills; approaches to teaching study skills, small group and individual learning programs; management strategies for promoting learner independence and autonomy in class and beyond. Issues of race, culture and racism will be covered as will multiculturalism and anti-racism policies and issues. Authentic materials, resources utilisation, specific focus courses, record keeping and syllabus development will be examined. Students will consider issues of assessment evaluation and testing.
