CBS2111 Administration and Management in Community Services

Description:
This unit is designed to introduce students to administrative, management and self-management skills appropriate for those working in community-based organisations. Students will gain an understanding of the development of policies and procedures, the preparation of reports and submissions, staff recruitment, deployment and management, industrial, legal and health and safety issues, funding mechanisms and financial management. The unit considers the principles of organisational change and change management with particular reference to the role of graduates as agents of change. This unit is linked with CBS4111 and CSV3112. Students who have completed CBS4111 or CSV3112 are not eligible to enrol in CBS2111.
