WESTERN AUSTRALIAN ACADEMY OF PERFORMING ARTS

Description:

This unit will act as a support to the principal instrument studied by the student and underline the necessity to fully understand the chordal movement of music, specifically with the first year Core repertoire.

 

There will be an emphasis on voicings, chords, and guidelines in improvisation associated with the first year Core repertoire. The focus of the unit will be for students to play on the keyboard, all of the Core repertoire, with the 3rd and 7th in the right hand and a bass note in the left hand.
