Description:

This unit introduces students to the basic concepts involved in packaging beer for sale. Concepts covered include the quality and selection of packaging materials for small pack and bulk beer (cask or keg), the operation and control of packaging lines for canning, bottling and racking and the design and performance management of packaging lines. Pasteurisation, sterile filling and quality of the final packaged product are studied.
