Description:
This unit initially orents students to study by introducing the program structure and important study skills such as note taking, preparing written and oral presentations, and assistiang students to become familiar with the University's referencing techniques. This unit will focus on the development of literacy across the four strands of English - Speaking and Listening, Viewing, Writing and Reading. It will define the term literacy and describe the developmental stages relevant to these strands and model effective classroom strategies for their teaching. The unit will introduce strategies and resources that best support children's learning in these areas.
