This unit focuses on Working Mathematically in Number and Measurement. It examines the role of measurement in everyday activities including industry and commerce and explores situations where knowledge and skills relating to measurement are required, such as sports, games, technology and enterprise and society and the environment. Applications of measurement will be examined within an historical framework and the unit will focus on effective teaching and learning strategies for engaging and innovative classroom practice.
