ACC5600 Accounting Investigations

Description:

Business students and forensic practitioners require knowledge of the factors that contribute to corporate failure, and to the incidence of personal and corporate fraud.  This unit is designed to provide an understanding of  the risks of both corporate failure and fraud, and of the measures that might be put in place to detect, predict and avoid their incidence.  An understanding of financial information and the skills to conduct fundamental financial statement analysis, are essential elements in the identification of risk, and the implementation of appropriate correction strategies.
