EDU4175 Social Psychology of Hearing Impaired Children

Description:
This unit addresses the cognitive, psychological, social, emotional and educational development of hearing impaired children from birth to adulthood. The role of members of an interdisciplinary team in the management and welfare of hearing impaired children and their parents is discussed. Various types of assessment, diagnostic and intervention strategies used by different professions and implications for the classroom teacher are explored.
