ENM3218 Fluid Mechanics
SCHOOL OF ENGINEERING
Credit Points: 15
Prerequisites:
MAT2236 Differential Equations , AND EITHER
MAT2236 Differential Equations , AND EITHER
SCP1111 Physics of Motion , OR
ENM2108 Mechanical Science

Description:

Students will cover theoretical concepts and physical mechanisms of fluid systems and enables students to apply this knowledge to practical hydraulic system analysis and design. Starting with fluid motion students deal further with finite control volume analysis and hydrostatics. The unit gives students an understanding of differential analysis of fluid flow and types of flow. Applications such as turbomachinery are also discussed.
