SCI3101 Public Understandings of Conservation

Description:
This unit explores the difficulties associated with the communication to appropriate audiences of complex scientific issues relating to conservation, preservation and environmentalism. Special attention is paid to the use of language, the need for two-way dialogue and the identification of multiple agendas. The unit will focus on skills needed to explain technical issues to lay audiences.
