SCC2212 Physical Chemistry , or equivalent
 
Description:
This unit provides students with the theory and principles of a range of analytical methods in the fields of electrochemistry, spectroscopy and titrimetry. The spectroscopy section deals with nuclear magnetic resonance, mass spectroscopy and infrared and their role in structural elucidation. The electrochemistry sections deals with polarography, voltammetry and their applications. In the laboratory emphasis is placed on the development of relevant laboratory skills.
