Description:
Student teachers will undertake a four week Professional Practice placement in a kindergarten/pre-primary setting or a primary class room (Teaching loads are designed to ensure that the student teachers work across a range of levels). The four week practice is intended to provide student teachers with the opportunities to work collaboratively to enhance their own skills and improve the learning of children. Student teachers will be placed in pairs so that they work collaboratively with a peer and develop skills as lead and support teacher and in giving and receiving feedback. In particular, they are expected to collaborate in planning, teaching and evaluating a unit of work under the guidance of the teacher.
